What are all PS5 games running at 120fps? Frames-per-second determines the refresh rate of a game, and can be the reason some titles look smoother than others. PS5 games will run at a variety of framerates, including 60fps. However, Sony's new-gen system also supports 120fps, so we've compiled a list of all PS5 games running at 120fps as part of our PS5 guide.
All PS5 Games Running at 120fps
Below is a list of all PS5 games running at 120fps. Please note that some of these games may not default to 120fps, and may simply include an option for high performance. We'll be updating this page regularly as more 120fps games are announced.

Do You Need a New TV for 120fps Gaming on PS5?
In order to take advantage of 120fps games, you will need to ensure your TV supports 120Hz, which effectively means it can refresh 120 times every second.
Unfortunately, just having a television capable of 120Hz isn't the end of the issue, as you'll also need to ensure your display is compatible with HDMI 2.1 and can support a data bandwidth of 48Gbps. Not all panels do, but because 4K HDR at 120fps requires 48Gbps, it's the only way to truly experience 120fps gaming on PS5.
For more information, refer to the Best 4K TVs for PS5 in 2023.
Will you be playing any of these all PS5 games running at 120fps? Check out our PS5 guide, and then let us know in the comments section below.

120 FPS????? QUICK, I had better go out and waste £1300 on a 4K 120Hz TV................ :-/
OH BOY! I CAN'T WAIT TO BUY ALL 33 (36 if you count collections) OF THESE GAMES!!
You didn't guide for one game riiiiiight
Sweet getting this game to test it out!.. Already have OLED c9 ready for the Ps5
this is obviously a placeholder article, and more titles are going to be added as soon as theyre confirmed to have 120 fps lol.
You know when I was reading this article I just knew I’d read some comments like this 😆😆😂! The console is not even released yet and only a fair amount of games have been announced both 1st/3rd party so be patient people! It will be updated as we draw nearer to release.😆
More like 30 FPS lol
Not sure which game to pick first...
@WexMajor I nearly died reading the article. "Here's the LIST" I knew he was going to get it in the comments. Lol. So I guess they'll update the article as time rolls on?
Maybe wait til you have more than 1 game confirmed before making an article titled "All PS5 games..."
120fps x1 is that confirmed? That'll probably be at 1080p.😂😂😂😂
@GaminSinceReagan haha yeah I'm sure that's what they'll do. And I'll update my comment accordingly lol
As long as the PS5 can run games at 4K & 60FPS I'll be a happy bunny .
No 60fps is fast enough. Anything more gives me that feeling of playing modern warfare like doom. But some players like the extra speed maybe I'm just getting old but a solid 60fps with full 4k and raytracing will do for me.
@Possessed NO MOST wil be 4K 60FPS and wil also be 120fps even 8k thats on ps5 and series x however series s is Fake 4k
@chris730920 it can and wil even offer up to 120fps and 8k
8 k lmao u live in dream world boy . U need a high end pc for 8 k with a rtx 3090. The only game ps5 could run at 8 k would be Tetris lmao
Any confirmation on if these are 4K or 1080p at 120fps?
You only require 48Gbps for 12bit colour has nothing to do with 120hz, Pushsquare got this totally wrong. 40Gbps is enuff for 8bit or 10bit colour
4K TV with HDMI 2.1 can do 4K 60hz & 4K 120hz
4K TV with HDMI 2.0 can do 4K 60hz & 1440P 120hz
@chris730920 it can run 4k 60fps even its 8k ready also can run up to 120fps also ray tracing
Got myself the Sony A80j, but not really played any games on it, apart from FF7 Remake, might pick up BL3, hopefully VRR and ALLM be added to both TV and PS5 by end of the year according to the Sony Rep.
@marty8370 You need to use an HDMI 2.1 cable, nonetheless.
I would happily take any hit to graphics for 120fps. Nioh Complete on PS5 feels silky smooth at 120FPS mode. It;s the only way to play on console.
WRC 9 & 10 to be added to the list
In anticipation of ps5 I convinced the wife we needed a 4K 120hz tv and we got a Samsung something or other. Honestly I run f1 2021 in performance mode (120hz) and I can’t really tell the difference if I’m honest. In fact the only difference I’ve notice vs the old PS4 version is the frame rate doesn’t stall when there’s lots of cars in view.
It’s also worth mentioning Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart can be played in Quality mode with 120hz enabled to render quality mode at 40fps instead of its normal 30fps. No reduction in visual fidelity and that mode has to be witnessed firsthand to be truly appreciated; it looks glorious.
It wouldn’t fit the criteria for this article, but it is a game that takes advantage of 120hz mode.
Rocket League is also missing
@get2sammyb You should add Quake to the list.
This is missing Doom Eternal.
Technically every one of them games is a PS4 game enhanced for PS5 so there not PS5 games it would only be classed as a PS5 game if it was only available on the PS5 suppose you have to make it sound better to justify paying nearly £500 for a next gen console so you can play last gen games
@BNAG_Gamer they're not 1300 at all
@RIGGOR_MORTIS well of course. There won't be native PS5 games at 120. It's far far better to have 60 and more fidelity. 120 isn't a selling point but the PS5 exclusives at 60 are.
@RIGGOR_MORTIS dirt 5 has both a ps4 and a ps5 version..borderlands 3,doom eternal,destiny 2 had their own ps5 free ps5 upgrades..using your argument every game that is released on both ps4 and ps5 will be ps4 enhanced..you make no sense..
As far as I know "on my TV anyway". HDMI 2.0 can do 1080p @120. I'm thinking how many games on PS5 can do much better that? 4k @120 is a pipe dream. Of course unless the graphics are really trimmed back, otherwise I don't think it will ever happen on PS5. Which I have absolutely no problem with. Just enjoy the games.
@BNAG_Gamer
I wouldn't call it wasting money.
Your missing the point there still last gen games with a facelift there not exclusive to next gen consoles therefore there last gen titles
@RIGGOR_MORTIS there there Walt take it easy he does have a point though. A year+ into the console’s lifespan……let the (PS5) games begin?
I game on a 1440p monitor that supports 120fps. It is gorgeous, and has the best HDR I've seen.
Also @Pushsquare Rogue Company runs at 120fps
This is why DisplayPort should be the standard for devices IMO. HDMI varies a lot even now. Sadly, I got stuck with HDMI 2.0 on my 1440p 144hz monitor. Would be nice if we see this implemented in the future.
Lucky i have a lg oled c9 and not a cx or c2.
Those have 40gbs hdmi, while the (lets face it) more expensive lg c9 has 48gb.
Two years ago lg stated it was not important, so i asked fomo and vincent, they both stated it is important for playing120fps with hdr at the same time, thisnis what decided me to buy the c9, not for its cheaper price, but for this.
Now lets hope sony update the ps5 for playing 120fps hdr and full 4k. For some reason in all ps5 games you have to make consessions, to rather performance mode(120fps and hdr but downgraded graphics) or graphic mode(60fps 4k raytracing)
Hoping all features will be available. But is it possible? 4k 120fps raytracing hdr?
You forgot centipede
@PALversusNTSC "Now lets hope sony update the ps5 for playing 120fps hdr and full 4k"
PS5 Pro incoming...
Given that the human eye only runs at about 20-24 images per second, do we really need 120fps modes? I mean 4K @ 60 is pretty darn smooth enough, isn't it?
Nice for those who want it, but personally I'm loving how many 60fps games we're getting. A lovely sweet spot of smoothness and visual fidelity.
It is great (if somewhat limited) that this is an option on a console that can be had for as little as 360 quid though.
@get2sammyb info about needing a TV with 48Gbps should be changed since the PS5 is likely never likely to ever output at that rate, pretty sure its still capped at 32Gbps.
You forgot The Tourist, its also 8k and has a 120fps mode on the ps5.
I got an LG BX 55 inch oled for just a games display. It has the full fat 48gbps hdmi bandwidth, not that it matters and was a good option for me at the time. I would've liked to have got the cx but couldn't justify the extra.
Any oled with hdmi and 48 gb/s bandwidth are fine.
I told people 40 gb/s is not enough for full nextgen gaming on 120fps, but cx and c1 users found this BS because LG said so.
Well no problem.... until there is a graphical update
@Dan_ozzzy189 Actually your BX doesn't have 48Gbps bandwidth, but you're right, it doesn't matter since the PS5 doesn't either.
@IrishNomad
Well any time soon, it is locked at this moment, but there is a engine update coming up.
Be prepared
@PALversusNTSC An update would be great. Looking forward to the VRR update most of all!
@sanderson72
To he honest. I don't care about 120fps at this moment, better would be 60fps native 4k and raytracing. But this is not possible.
Why the hell they introduced RT in this genereration consoles, is a mystery, you can only enjoy it in 30fps wich is horrible, like you play emulated games.
Even on pc it does not make sense, you have to make consessions.
Guess we have to wait a couple of years.
@PALversusNTSC Have you not played Ratchet & Clank, Spider-Man, or Metro Exodus? Those have amazing RT and run at 60fps. Maybe not native 4k, but close enough that in motion from a normal distance, it looks amazing.
Removed - flaming/arguing
I think this article needs updating.
Many/all of those games can do 120FPS but not at 4K. Thus you do not need a 4K120Hz TV in that case, thus you do not need HDMI 2.1 etc etc.
In fact do any of them run at 120FPS@4K?
@PALversusNTSC I have a 55"' c1 and a 42" c2 I have no issues getting 120fps on my pc in actual 4k not that 3840x2060p nonsense actual 4096x2160p that I can validate with the green button on the remote and through windows and in game settings using a msi suprim 3080ti and a ryzen 5950x. My ps5 is lucky if it can even get 60fps@4k unless it's a remastered ps4 game. The c1 is a lot better than the c9 for gaming ironically with better vrr more BFI options and lower input lag as is the c2 not that the c9 is bad but don't fool yourself into thinking you got a better tv lol
My TV could probably do 120 fps, but I still need to do a test to notice the difference between 30 and 60!
WRC 10 also has 120 FPS.
Dirt 5 didn't work when I tried it at all.
@lindos all of them run at 4k@120hz, whether or not the game engine internally runs at a lower resolution, the image is scaled by the console and sent to the display.
@BNAG_Gamer 2k hdr 120+hz monitor for $350 works perfectly for me
@get2sammyb I can confirm that these 2 games run at 120hz :
Super Impossible Road
Agent Intercept
That's a very small list compared to 120fps games supported for Xbox Series X. Thankfully I have both consoles!
So far the only games i have for PS5 that support 120fps is:
Borderlands 3
Devil May Cry 5
Doom Eternal
Uncharted Legacy of thieves collection
You forgot Grid legends. Its 120fps all the time on ps5
You keep missing Grid Legends. Its plays default at locked 120fps when 120fps capable tv is being used
This list is missing a lot of games... It's as if Push Square don't actually know what they're talking about.
120Hz is surplus at this point - the current console hardware has to sacrifice too much to achieve it and its barely distinguishable vs 60Hz.
I'm hoping the PS5 Pro will manage 4K @ 120Hz but atm, a 120Hz TV is future-proofing.
Apex Legends doesn't have 120fps, I've been playing it recently and there definitely isn't an option for it.
I have an LG C1
I was late to the party getting a 4K TV thankfully, so when I luckily got a ps5 last November, I looked into all this techy waffle and got an LG with 2.1 hdmi and capable of 120fps. Not sure if I've used it but it was more for future proofing.
@Amity yes I've looked for that option in Apex and see nothing.
i got my LG C1 that i use for my PS5 in my experience i prefer 60 FPS and 4K over 120 FPS and 1080p. Oh yeah i said it before but Call of Duty games are trash players need no skills to play those games and you are not a real gamer if you consider yourself a pro from playing first person shooters. let Xbox have all suckers that buy the same game every year like the Madden players all suckers.
Overwatch does support 120hz on PS5.
@Kanbei must've gotten it wrong
@ecin no you don't, stop spreading misinformation your 1.4 hdmi can run 120hz 1080p perfectly.
"as you'll also need to ensure your display is compatible with HDMI 2.1"
Thats totally wrong, a 2.1HDMI for BOTH 4k AND 120hz maybe.
but no games run that rn (not ever on base ps5). but games rn are either you run them in performence mode (120fps @1080p) or in quality mode (60/30fps @4k/RT). for performance mode 1.4 hdmi(same hdmi ps4 uses) is enough to run reliably 120fps @1080p. i been playing r6, dirt5 and ghostrunner @120fps for the past 6 months. im using msi monitor and it it has a stunning image quality. MSI OPTIX G271 (27" 1080p 144hz)
Honestly not many. Especially considering most of these have major downgrades at 120fps. And almost all require VRR to make the most of it. Niche.
@Falkirk4life
Nope it did not…
I want us to list which PS5 games would be a complete waste of time to convert to 120 fps. I’ll list a few of my gems:
King Oddball
Nexomon
Personality and Psychology Premium
Pretty Girls Panic!
Apex Legends does NOT support 120fps on PS5. Better check your research!
@chris730920 Exactly my thoughts!(and what my telly is capable of..)😝
Hate to break it to ya Sammy, Apex DOES NOT support 120fps on ps5 yet. It's supposed to in a FUTURE update but as of 10/15/22 it does not. I play on a monitor with live frame rate displayed, get a locked 60fps at 1080p and that's it.
@BubaMan if you don't think there's a noticeable difference between 60fps and 120fps then I assume you don't play much or haven't experienced the actual difference.
@MattBoothDev pretty sure it doesn't work that way kid. If the game doesn't support 120fps you won't get it period. According to your logic, every ps5 game would automatically be 4k with 120fps. Last I checked that's not even remotely close to true. There's MAYBE a grand total of like 20 games or so that even currently support the 120hz on new gen consoles possibly more if you count the free upgrades of 4 games. But the console can't force the frame rate if the game don't support it.
@Nemesis_406 all PS5 games can, in theory, output at 120hz@4k because that's what the PS5 SDK supports.
Whether or not that's used by a game engine is up to the developers. A decision to target 4k@60Hz is a conscious decision made during development. Some games simply cannot render at 120FPS in order to fully take advantage of 120hz, some games don't support VRR (because it's a new addition to the SDK), so those modes are not used.
If you want to know more about the supported modes, you can quickly take a look at the information panel on the video settings for the PS5 (and, PS4).
Take your third rate knowledge of this stuff and put it where you keep the "pretty sure it didn't work that way, kid" mentality, which is hopefully going to be put to rest after this conversation.
Overwatch 2 is 120fps as well FYI
I got a new TV a week or so ago, a Sony Bravia XR i think it is, 2022 model. The only game i’ve tried at 120 fps is COD Cold War an the only difference i can tell is everyone runs an sprints faster.
Rogue Company and Overwatch 2 have 120fps modes.
Pretty sure Rollerdrome runs at 120fps, but not on the list?
@BNAG_Gamer Quick! Better attack how others want to spend their own hard-earned money!
@PALversusNTSC My friend, you DO know the CX can still output 4K/120hz/HDR at the same time, right? Idk what you're going on about.
@get2sammyb Apex Legends isn't available in 120 FPS. It's 60 FPS max. Better check your research!
@gipsojo You're right, this was announced but not added yet. I'll edit the article now.
Thanks!
This is so confusing…
You need to add TLOU Part 1 and both Spider-Man games as they both go over 60fps when on a VRR display
It would probably be worth adding games that support 120hz to this list. Spider-Man and Rachet games bump their fidelity modes to 40fps when running in 120hz.
Rocket League supports 120 fps on PS5. It has done so for ages.
