PlayStation 5 is a gaming console first and foremost, but you may be looking for a list of all PS5 apps so far. These mostly consist of multimedia streaming platforms, such as Netflix and BBC iPlayer, and some may be region specific. As part of our ongoing PS5 guide, we're going to compile all PS5 apps that are currently available on Sony's next-gen console. For additional information, refer to the following: Will PS Now Be on PS5?
All PS5 Apps
Sony's confirmed the initial wave of all PS5 apps that will be available on the next-gen console at launch. These include the following:
- Amazon Prime Video
- Apple TV
- BT Sport
- Crunchyroll
- Disney +
- Funimation
- HBO Max
- Hulu
- MyCanal
- Netflix
- Now TV
- Peacock
- PlayStation Video
- Plex
- Pluto TV
- Spotify
- Twitch
- WWE Network
- YouTube
Sony has confirmed that more PS5 apps will be added in the future, such as Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, MyCanal, and Peacock. It's worth remembering that for many of these type of applications, PS4 is one of the most popular pieces of hardware used to access them. As such, it's in the interests of both Sony and the service providers to port their apps to PS5 as quickly as possible. In some cases, the user experience could be improved thanks to the PS5's SSD and additional horsepower, and of course we'll update as and when we learn more about that.
Which PS5 apps are you hoping for? Let us know in the comments section below, and be sure to check out our PS5 guide for much more information.

Plex App for all my films would be good.
Can't wait to get my hands on this beast.
I take it you lucky people at Push Square get one for free? 😉
Here's hoping the 4k Blu-ray software on ps5 won't be as ***** as xbox one s‘. I bought one xbox one s for my movie collections specifically because it had 4k Blu-ray drive, but boi oh boi was it disappointing.
Considering they have ps5 Remote with Disney+, netflix, YouTube, Spotify on the Remote think its safe to say those 4 are in 😆 likely prime and WWE NETWORK and others for north Americans like HBO and hulu likely cuz Americans get gold standard treatment hell playstation direct is America only ps Vue Was Before was closed sony limited itself to just parts of America instead trying new things like a worldwide release
I really hope I can watch my New Japan Pro Wrestling on PS5. Sadly it isnt supported on PS4
None of these app interest me. 🤔
Glad Crunchyroll is on but I wonder why VRV hasn't been confirmed when it's literally the same company
HBO Max is always slacking. Still isn't on my smart TV.
Will probably be on PS5 before then lol.
Plex.
We need Plex.
I want tubi back, its cult horror section was actually pretty impressive!!
I would assume Funimation would be there as Sony owns it I think.
@conman15 https://www.funimation.com/blog/2020/10/23/the-funimation-app-will-be-available-on-playstation-5-at-launch/
@PS5in2020 sadly its not available for uk
Media player. Audio cd support
One missing from your list. Rad TV (fka Littlstar). Can you add it?
wait.. there’s no BBC iPlayer on PS5?
No VRV. I need my anime and RWBY fix.
I'm confused, this seems to have been bumped with no update? Was getting excited about iPlayer possibly making it
@theheadofabroom HBO Max was added today.... I think this article should do a better job highlighting what has been updated.
Australian PS5 is missing ABC iView, our public broadcaster's excellent streaming service. I've plugged my PS4 back in just for that.
Like 8.months into ps5 world and they don't have much apps for UK not even BBCi player and ITVHub /stv player ( ps4 didn't have them aswell) and DISNEY PLUS is on ps5 Remote but its app on ps5 is ps4 version wtf 😳 and SAME with WWE NETWORK ps4 version on ps5 of course they won't care because Americans moved to peacock point is why have certain apps on ps5 Remote when they don't fully support them anyway stil a great console 🤔 as is the xbox one I have had them all
how a about a real webbrowser ??? because ps5 dont have any,you can do a trick to surf on the web with ps5 but its really crap !
