We're just a couple of weeks away from the arrival of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, but Warner Bros. has seen fit to release the launch trailer early. You can watch it above.
This newest trailer splices together proper gameplay footage with plenty of cutscenes from the story, and it honestly looks pretty fun. The game sees you play as Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark as they face off against the Justice League, many members of which have been corrupted by Brainiac. This means explosive fights against Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash, and others β and the story mode at least looks like it should be a raucous good time.
Obviously the proof is in the pudding; we're very curious to take this game for a spin and see whether its poor reputation is deserved. Not long to wait now, anyway β the game hits PS5 on 2nd February. Are you looking forward to Suicide Squad? Swing by the comments section below.

Hey, call me bad for liking this trailer but... It looks pretty good! Don't know why people are mad about this Game, especially with Rocksteady behind the wheel.
My grandmother having a fight with her neighbor over whose soup is better can look like a AAA hit when the trailer is done right.
@sRPlay1989 I have no doubt there is a good story in here, the premise of the game to "kill the Justice League" is utterly fantastic. But the I think people are mad for 3 reasons.
1) Live Service game from makers of one of the finest single player trilogies
2) No synergy between the characters and the source material. E.g. Captain Boomerang, the hint was in the name, he's not Captain AK47.
3) Gameplay looks derivative. Jump around rooftops, clearing waves of enemies and shooting purple glowing spots.
Personally I think this will be a fun ride for 20 hours or so, but being a live service they will likely flog the gameplay like a dead horse and pad it out with needless busywork.
@themightyant Sure seems like a "Different Story" and a good time in COOP for sure.
Let's wait and see!
As a massive DC fan i'm so happy i didn't get swept in the hype for this. The alpha really helped make my mind up.
I've tried to avoid reading articles on this because I like to judge for myself or at least read a proper review. Because of that though, I'm pretty much in the dark about the gameplay.
Does anyone know if there's a single player, offline mode for this game?
@DennisReynolds what were your impressions of the alpha?
I wish they would put out a demo for this game so we can get a feel for it. I'm not wasting my money for a game like this unless I can play it first.
I mean... if I wanted to play this sorta game I could buy Agents of Mayhem for a fraction of the cost and NOT deal with live service elements.
@KundaliniRising333 Story seems interesting and the voice acting was great but gameplay wise it wasn't good, city is a barren husk and the characters all play the same. It seems like a game you will play once for the story when it no doubt hits Plus/Gamepass and then never again. Its like they saw Avengers and decided to make a worse version of it.
@__jamiie
They have confirmed you can play it solo. They also said it will require an online connection in order to play at launch but apparently plan to add a completely offline mode later down the road.
I know its a bit weird how it sounds like a patch is required for an offline mode but there you go.π
@Korgon Thanks for the info. π
@sRPlay1989 because I played the alpha, and it's just a bang-average looters shooter, with a decent story.
I think people are going to be surprised with this one. Sure itβs not going to be groundbreaking but it will be fun with friends.
I'm just getting it for the story, shame it'll be dead in a month.
I wonder who else will show up? Hope the teen titans get a little cameo!
SkillUp put a video up of closed beta impressions after they dropped the NDA and Iβm now definitely more interested than I was. But itβs clear that, however this game turns out, there are a lot of minds already made up unfortunately.
Is it fair to judge a game by the alpha test though?
@Korgon The more advanced we get in gaming the more they strip away options it's baffling. I remember Resident Evil Outbreak on the PS2 where I could choose what I wanted to do.
@sRPlay1989 To be fair that's what people liked the story the rest has not so much.
@Bizaroni They won't be changing much so close to the release.
