As announced last September, Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition is Sony's next first-party title making the jump to PC. Including the sequel itself along with the Burning Shores expansion, it'll be available on Steam and Epic Games Store come 21st March 2024.
Co-developed by Guerrilla and Nixxes, the PC port looks to have all the usual perks over the console versions. This includes support for ultra-wide monitors, unlocked frame rate, and support for NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS to enhance performance and resolution. NVIDIA DLAA is also supported, and it'll utilise DirectStorage for fast loading. Of course, you'll also have more granular control over the game's graphical settings, as is standard on PC.
The PS Blog also notes several in-game bonuses if you decide to pre-order, including:
- Blacktide Outfit and Blacktide Bow* (available only with pre-purchase)
- Nora Legacy Outfit and Nora Spear* (available only when linking your Steam account to PlayStation
- Network)
- 2 Special Outfits (Carja Behemoth Elite and Nora Thunder Elite)
- 2 Special Weapons (Carja Behemoth Short Bow and Nora Thunder Sling)
- In-game Resources Pack including ammunition, potions, and travel packs
- In-game Apex Clawstrider Machine Strike Piece
- Exclusive Photo Mode pose and face paint

lol , keep em coming sony
Good stuff! Bet it'll be an absolute stunnah considering what it looked like on PS5. Enjoy, PC gamers 🧡
Anyone on PC that thought Avatar was one of the best looking games ever are about to have their minds changed.
What exclusives do PS5 have now that have not been ported to PC, excluding future titles because we know God of War Ragnarok and Spider-Man 2 will eventually release on PC within the next couple of years.
I dont envy the PC players, wouldnt want to live thru that disappointment again.
@MaccaMUFC Porting games to other platforms isnt necessarily a problem. Sony slacking on first party exclusives is.
@AdamNovice Truu, the graphics were mindblowing. I think Alan Wake 2 came close/surpasses it in some ways. But still FW was pretty epic, especially the sand physics.
@MaccaMUFC Astro's Playroom
@TrickyDicky99 As amazing as the game is, I see it more of a showcase game that shows off the Duel Sense’s haptic feedback. Not sure PC owners will be clamouring for the game to be ported either.
@MaccaMUFC Regarding the time period Sony's PC ports have been from so far, the big ones left pre-Ragnarok that seem likely to be ported are:
Though there's plenty of others that could happen if that Until Dawn rumour is true.
PC owners can finally enjoy the not-so-good sequel to HZD.
It'll be like arriving very late to a not very good party.
This won’t sell nearly as much as the first game did with the novelty of being the first major port gone.
Started playing this about a month ago and absolutely love it! Surprised it took me this long after loving the first game. Wait? Should I be mad because now more people will get to enjoy it? 🤔
Does this mean someone can finally mod in the epic looking God Of War inspired outfit that a fan came up with?
@MaccaMUFC going by sales of recent games released by Sony on PC, PC players aren't clamouring for any PS game
@MaccaMUFC eh, after 2 years who even cares abjur exclusively anymore?
@Grumblevolcano I highly doubt GT7 will be ported as it will open a can of worms regarding online competitive play.
Good news for PC players as its a fantastic game but id still rather play these games day one on playstation. The more games that go to PC though the better as these games will get more attention and may just end up converting some PC players to playstation when future games in the series come out. If not, then it's still a win for Sony as they are getting some more sales from "dead" games.
After failing to finish the main story a few years ago (sidetracked by other games) I’m now on my second play through. I had forgotten all the controls, skills etc to pick up where I left off, so decided to start afresh. Also picked the Burning shores DLC in a recent sale, so hope to go straight into that after the main campaign. Really enjoying it, and the game looks stunning, even in performance mode.
Yo Sony, where are new games? Only SM with GOW:Valhalla and GT7 kept me playing my PS5.
Also PSVR2 exclusives?
Has anyone actually seen the full edition (disc version) on sale in AU/NZ?
@Sanquine the games they’ve been working on? People want really good games but no one wants to wait for them
@twitchtvpat It would be nice that Sony shares with us what they are working on. I wouldn’t mind the wait but now I waiting for announcements.
Not exactly "Complete" if it comes with pre-order bonuses now is it?! 😛😛😛
I got the PS5 version for Christmas, gotta get through Final Fantasy XVI first, though!
I wish Sony would focus on delivering an experience like they did with the PS3/PS4 for the PS5 because it sure as hell feels like the PS5 generation is the PC generation.
The PS5 gen is easily the most underwhelming PlayStation generation I’ve ever experienced.
@AdamNovice Hmm Horizon gives it a good run for it's money but Avatar defo wins out on environmental interactivity and dynamic lighting for me. Horizon is a technical masterpiece, as is Avatar. They both demonstrate some impressive, yet different strengths in the graphics department.
@OmegaStriver not sure where you've been but I've played tons of games on my PS5 that are exclusive or otherwise. Not exactly missing out this gen imo. I echo some of your sentiment though - Sony need to reveal some big projects in the works to keep the train going.
Sweet! I've got 120g's of space ready on my PS5 Porta....errr... SteamDeck.
Why does it matter if sonys games release on the PC 2 or 3 years after launching on the ps? They are still PlayStation exclusives in the sense they launched exclusively on the PlayStation first. If people want to spend a couple of grand on a PC that will give them the chance to play games that are 2 or 3 years old then have at it. I like my ps5 because it's more than good enough for me and to be honest I don't want to play games on PC anymore. Been there and had good times but more frustration than I needed too.
@Sanquine trust me we are all waiting for them to finally show off what a lot of these teams have been working on. But I think when they finally do the wait will be worth it imo.
@UltimateOtaku91 This won't happen PC players have no issue waiting and are not going to convert after investing in a PC rig
I definitely want to get it to replay the game and dive into the expansion.
Miyazaki has the chance to do the funniest thing of all time.

@ROBLIVION really? That's a healthy mindset you have there.@pharos_haven of course. After sinking the cash you need for a half decent PC you wouldn't go back to consoles until you realise that sooner rather than later you are playing the catch up game because your very expensive machine is just not up there anymore. I'd love to have the money so that I could run all the PC games I'd like to play at max settings but I don't and I don't have the patience for endless driver updates, game updates,Windows updates etc, etc. Power to the gamers that have the means to play games that look as amazing as they do but I'm not that guy. To me PC gamers are pretty hard-core and I'm always in awe of some of the mods especially some of the gta v ones but I'm quite happy playing on my ps5 and annoying the wife with my surround sound set up.
@Pranwell lol no kidding. I had to force myself through this one.
@TrickyDicky99 its almost like late ports don't do too hot compared to launch. Most pc gamers bought a ps5 assuming they'd be exclusive. So most have played them already.
I garuntee you if sony stopped the whole timed exclusive nonsense. Those number will be very different.
Will add to my list. Love that first party PS games go to PC.
