For the next part of our A Plague Tale: Requiem guide, we are going to list all collectibles. There are 4 collectible types for a total of 43 collectibles to find. Our checklists will help you find them all, with descriptions and pictures to describe their exact locations. The collectible types are as follows:

  • Souvenirs: Interactions with people or the environment, usually a conversation or a minigame. Can be denoted by a red ribbon, but they shouldn't be relied upon as they're not always present.
  • Flowers: Picked up off the ground, but aren't typical of any particular area. However, they can generally be found close to the main path. Amicia places them in her hair, and you can choose what flower to have equipped.
  • Feathers: Essentially the same as Flowers, but they appear in the back half of the game. They're always found underneath a nest in a tree.
  • Secret Chests: Well-hidden chests containing lots of supplies and a Workbench. You need a Knife to unlock them, which is a rare resource in the game.

All collectibles types can be tracked on the Codex screen in-game, accessed by pressing the touchpad. The main menu will detail how many collectibles you've found in each chapter. Listed below are checklists for all collectibles, revealing when and where you can find them.

A Plague Tale: Requiem Guide: Tips and Tricks for Beginners

For the final part of our A Plague Tale: Requiem guide, we're going to share some tips and tricks for beginners. These will make sure you're prepared for what lies ahead of Amicia and Hugo, both from the rat plague and the humans alive during it. While the game does have difficulty settings, these universal tips will help you get the most out of it.

Get the Recycling Tool First

Workbenches are located at several points throughout most chapters in the story, letting you improve your weapons and equipment. The Recycling Tool, which is listed as an Instrument on the upgrade menu, should be one of the first you get. It means that should you find an item (Pots and Bolts, for example) your inventory is already with, then you can turn the resource straight into upgrade materials. It's not very many, but they all add up and can be the difference between being able to afford another upgrade at a Workbench or not.

Save Your Knives

Knives have two uses: an automatic kill and the chance to open a Secret Chest. Since they're so rare, though, we strongly recommend against using them for anything other than unlocking the Secret Chests. If you're using them during combat, you've already messed up somewhere else. There's almost always another way of approaching scenarios involving enemies, whether that's distracting them to create a safe path ahead or getting the rats to do your dirty work. Save those Knives for Secret Chests so you can get more upgrades.

It's Okay to Get Spotted

Amicia has a lot more tools and weapons at her disposal compared to the first game, to the point where getting spotted shouldn't mean you're instantly reloading a checkpoint. The Crossbow kills most enemies in one hit, and the larger combat encounters mean you're able to put some distance between you and foes so you can re-enter stealth. If you're using up too much ammo, then hitting restart might be a good idea. However, it's not something you should rely upon anymore: there are a lot more options and abilities for you to utilise this time around.

That concludes our A Plague Tale: Requiem guide. We hope you find our walkthrough useful, and find all collectibles using our guides. If you have any tips and tricks of your own to share, feel free to post them in the comments below.
