Come hither! Discuss! Chatter! Chinwag! About your currently played games on your shiny new gargantuan console.
Let's get us started...
I played a few hours of Astro's Playroom last night. It is every bit charming and fun to play as you have heard. You can't help but grin when you are playing it. And coming from a grump like me, that is something! And there are so many nods to everything PlayStation. Not sure if you can call them Easter eggs as one they are not chocolate and two they are flipping everywhere.
I will probably jump back on Demon's Souls tonight, as I could feel it glaring at me for not playing it.
@JohnnyShoulder Agree about Astro, most fun I had with a 3D platformer that wasn't on a Nintendo platform. Very curious about the news that should be coming soon according to the developer.
I'm mainly playing Demon's Souls, but am also racing around in WRC9. The controller feedback is really something else with this. I thought Dirt Rally 2.0 would be untouchable, but now, I'm actually not that sure. The WRC experience is so much more involving and tactile that I might even overlook the mostly dull cars (no Peugoet 205 gti or Mini Cooper, boo! Hiss!).
Also dabbling in Planet Coaster. Not completely convinced about the controls (Two Point Hospital admittedly set the bar sky high), although I'm slightly getting used to it. I'd rather not create another coaster though, that was a massive pain in the arse.
I've been testing the graphical capabilities of the PS5 for Fortnite and have been grinding out the last of the challenges. I've also only started playing CoD in 2019 when I was thirteen years old. I'm fourteen now and I've grown very fond of CoD. I'm a classic Fortnite OG fanboy, but man, when you find a new game like CoD Cold War, you just can't stop playing it. I also enjoy playing some of the games from my PS4, like Marvel's Avengers, or comparing my PS4 pro graphics to my new PS5 graphics with games like Spider-Man Miles Morales, CoD Cold War, and Fortnite. honestly, because I use the same monitor it's kinda hard to tell the difference between PS4 pro and PS5 graphics (but it's only because of my monitor.) I enjoy the PS5 and its capabilities, but when it comes down to which I think was more worth my money... the PS4 pro or the PS5 I'd say the PS4 pro because you get more storage and it's just what I know. The games on the other hand, with next-gen consoles, are really good with the PS5, including the Duel-Sense controller, which I like, but I've heard some controversy about it.
@ChrisOmega8600 I booted up my PS4 version of Spider-Man on my PS5 and everything looks so much crisper, although it could be just that I haven't played in it ages!
Makes me wonder how the Spider-Man Remaster looks.
Played through Astro on Launch day, I've plantinumed that now. Completed the story and around 85% of everything on Miles Morales. Moved onto Valhalla, which I'll be playing until I've completed the story and then move onto Cyberpunk (if its as good as I hope).
Played Astrobot, Sack boy then into COD Black Ops. Got my brother signed up on PS+ as I have gave him my PS4. Got him to download Warzone so tonight myself him and a couple of mates will be tearng up Verdansk.
@ShaiHulud Good to hear about WRC9, I’ve been playing loads of WRC8 recently on PS4 and it’s really good if brutal. Finally actually won a rally on medium difficulty in Corsica, I was right chuffed 😂😂
@nuSkilz Honestly, unless you're absolutely dead set on Legion, give Valhalla a go instead! Its so much more interesting and more enjoyable than Watch Dogs.
@nessisonett It can be quite tough but I feel that some set times are not really up to par with the difficulty. I can easily win on the hardest difficulty setting in Sweden, but then again I can't seem to win in Germany on medium. Could be just me though, those very narrow high-speed lanes freak me out a bit
I was playing RDR2 online everyday to keep the streak going and to earn gold bars but with Rock-star effectively giving all the loyal players the middle finger and changing things in and effort to try to force people to have to buy gold bars not played it since.
Finished Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Twin Mirror (PS4) yesterday. Playing Warframe at the moment. It's really enjoyable so far. Looks and plays fantastic on PS5.
Playing Crash Bandicoot N. Sane trilogy right now. This is actually my first experience with the series, even though I'm a 90's kid and played a lot of mascot platformers over the course of my life.
I guess I like it, but... man, is the camera a let down. It's really hard to see stuff or assess distances because of the camera. I think it's the only reason the game is actually difficult at all.
Also, there's a lot, a lot, a lot, of learning the game mechanics by dying. "Oh, apparently you die by jumping on a bat, even though there was nothing in the game before that suggests you die by jumping on an enemy."
