The Chinese Room has today resurfaced with new gameplay for upcoming RPG Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2. Long in development, this is the first opportunity to see it in action in quite some time, with two videos published. A deep dive into the game's mechanics and setting is provided by members of the development team, as a mission early in the campaign becomes the focus. A press release states the title will be launching for PS5 "in the coming months".
Creative director Alex Skidmore said: "The gameplay and action of Bloodlines 2 is a sort of dance. As players explore the world, soak in the atmosphere, and make strategic choices, they affect their relationships with the characters around them. Players can choose their legend, but the world is dynamic, and characters will remember how you treat them. Think carefully, and trust no one."

Never touched the series before but I'm very intrigued by this 🧐 looks very 'Dishonred' and seems quite similar to Vampyr's vibes (a very good thing)
Hope it lives up to the hype.
The only experience I have with The Chinese Room games is Amnesia A machine for pigs, and that is really not good, I'll probably skip this.
That gameplay was... rather disappointing. Just one mission where the player goes through the same memory sequence room three times and punches.
@LordOfTurnips I really ejoyed aMFP. Although it was pretty divisive with its 'walking sim' gameplay (which I'm a fan of when combined with quality writing and VO). Still, I wouldn't use aMFP as a reference as they are very different games as well as being a decade apart.
Jesus talk about a let down. This looks rough.
After so much development hell they should have axed this rather than tarnish a classic. Whoever owns this IP appears hell bent on cashing in with whatever garbage they can put out, forgoing quality or standard in the process.
Not sure if the best way to sell people on your game is to repeat the same walk to the same area multiple times, that kills the excitement for me.
Looks bad, playing it on an Xbox judging by the prompts. So it’s watered down to sell on both Xbox systems. This, while interesting, is a hard pass.
Needs more Astarion.
@Bunchesopuppies I think you may need to get some glasses if you fail to see the obvious PC prompts. It a PC build with an Xbox controller attached.
To be honest this looks meh.
