It's the bleak first week of a New Year. We suppose there's renewed optimism with it being 2024, but the weather sucks and the frivolity of Christmas is in the rear-view mirror. At least there's video games, eh? Here's what we're playing.
Aaron Bayne
After wrapping up God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla during the week, I'm moving on to Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown ahead of its launch in a couple of weeks! I managed to get a couple of hours hands-on with the game a month or so back, so I'm looking forward to diving into the full release.
Jade Sayers
This weekend I’ll be playing LEGO The Incredibles! It’s been sitting in my backlog for so long and seems like the perfect game to ease myself into clearing it down, as it doesn’t require much brainpower and I am fried from Christmas and New Year!
Jamie O'Neill
I've a WAYP specific New Year's resolution to play at least 20 new retro themed games that are released in 2024 — whether it's a modern retro or original retro release, including pixel art games and remasters/ remakes — so I've just blindly bought Guts 'n Grunts, because it released on Friday 5th January, and Cascadia Games' blurb says it's inspired by Contra and Turrican.
Robert Ramsey
I'm going to try and squeeze in a replay of Final Fantasy 7 Remake before Rebirth arrives, just to refresh my perspective on what I think is a fun but flawed revival. Really looking forward to those boss fights, though!
Stephen Tailby
I'll be playing Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown this weekend. I can't say anything else right now, but look forward to our review in due course.
That's how we're welcoming in the New Year, then, but what about the rest of you? Which games are keeping you occupied this very busy January? Let us know in the comments section below.

After Castlevania HoD I will start Circle of the Moon
I will casually juggle between God of War 1 and Fable II.
The one brands NEW experience is Gothic II. Gothic 1 was lost and I had to reorder so I will play GII for a while.
Happy gaming!!!
I will be spending the weekend playing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora in co-op with my brother.
Horizon Forbidden West: Having just finished the prequel, I'm pretty excited to jump into this. About eight hours later, I'm quite impressed: little touches like follow road for mount or highlighted climbing tracks, vastly improved visuals (especially cutscene) and an intriguing premise all indicate an excellent follow-up to the banger that was Horizon Zero Dawn.
Power Wash simulator.
I love the way you can put the PS5 to sleep and pick up right where you left off.
I recently finally got back into Batman: Arkham Knight and I'm enjoying it a lot more than the first time around, so this weekend I'll be finally finishing that story and then trying to mop up all those Riddler trophies
Playing through Cyberpunk 2077 which I'm enjoying. I wasn't expecting it to feel like a mix of so many different games. It's Far Cry, Arkham Knight, GTA, and Observer rolled into one package.
Have put Power Wash Simulator down for a bit to return to Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. Currently finishing up the Essexe story arc.
Just at the beginning of act 3 and about to enter Baldur's Gate. So far so bloody good.
🎶 Washing my pits, washing my pits 🎶
Still on the absolutely amazing Alan Wake 2. This game is unreal. Can't sing it's praises enough. Just....wow
Bought Cocoon in the recent sale, after all the recommendations I'm looking forward to it.
@Marquez I had a choice between that and Jusant before Christmas. I picked the wrong one I think. Jusant is decent but not grabbed me like I hoped it would
I’m still plodding my way through Alan Wake 2. I love it but can’t play long spells at a time. Aside from that I have a co op game of Mario Wonder with the wife which we will continue.
Getting my **** handed to me on a regular occasion by Nioh 2… top-tier souls-like!
Still on with "Spider-Man 2". It's fine.
@rusty82 I picked them both up off recommendations, so let's see which I enjoy most!
@Member_the_game beware of the trophy glitch that somehow stops you earning the gold trophy for completing career mode. It's a wide spread issue that the devs are aware of. Still no fix yet either. I'm locked out of the platinum because of it
I bought myself PSVR2 for Christmas and I very much appreciate it! I'm finishing off Resi village (loads scarier in VR) and trying not to get fired off on GT7 daily races.
Have a good one!
More snowrunner for me. 6418 hours and counting
The only game I've been spending time on is Robocop Rogue City.Knew I'd like it but never thought it would be the kind of game that won't let me go!
Going to finish the washroom level on Power Washer Simulator and later power wash my back garden in real life! Then may start Jedi: Survivor before FA Cup football and a vindaloo!
Happy gaming everyone!
This weekend I will continue to play some Robocop: Rouge City, CoD MW3 and some VR goodness.
About to move onto act 2 in BG3.
Might throw in some Teardown to break it up a little, keep meaning to find a minute to try it out.
I will be playing Moss, horizon call of the mountain, demon’s tilt and guns, gore & cannoli on the ps5 and GTA4 on the Adbox subscription X.
I'm still playing Spider-Man 2 and will continue for at least another week or so (unlike a friend of mine who got the platinum trophy in 22 hours right after its release... )
Besides that I'll be playing some COD MW3 with my friends. I know, I know, I'm supposed to hate COD but I'm still having fun with it.
I am on weekend 251 of playing Baldur's Gate 3... I have entered the House of Hope and may have been shagged to death.
I'll also be playing some Avatar FoP and flapping around Pandora on Floof the Ikran.
Baldur’s Gate 3
Stellaris (only just bought it on Steam, fascinating and complex so far)
Overcooked 2 (don’t judge, it something my partner will actually play with me!)
I’m playing Detroit: Become Human and a little bit of Elden Ring
I'm on the final chapter of Dead Space remake, never played it before and this game is brilliant!! It might be my favourite horror game ive played. Just wrapped up Chapter 5 of yakuza like a dragon. It took a couple of chapters but the turn based combat has really grown on me. Maybe blasphemous 2 but I've hit a wall of a boss and need to watch YouTubes to beat it and haven't made time yet. loved my time with it but might call it a day. Have a great weekend folks!
Almost finished with my 100% run of Final Fantasy XVI on Ps5 and after that I want to play Evil West.
Also still playing Theatrhythm Final Bar Line on my Switch.
Not planning on playing much because I want to be done with everything when Like a Dragon 8 and subsequently Final Fantasy VII Rebirth release.
Lies of P and i'm trying to get the platinum on FFXVI.
On Switch Bayonetta 3 and Theatrhythm Final Bar Lind
Star Wars Jedi Survivor after a nice long holiday.
Wo long fallen destiny for me. I really like it but the English dubbing is atrocious so it's the Chinese audio for me. I don't have much time in the evenings after work so I've mostly been playing immortals of aveum for an hour here and there. I really like the game but it does have a few little issues but nothing game breaking and outside of doom eternal it's the loudest game I've played..have a corker of a weekend folks 👍
A lot actually considering got a PS5 a couple of weeks ago.
GT7
Hogwarts Legacy
GTA V
Doom Eternal
And on Switch, Super Mario Wonder
Living the dream 😁
Final Fantasy XVI - I’m returning after finishing BG3.
But I also downloaded: Plague Tale: Requiem, Evil West, Nobody Saves the World, I need to finish Goodbye Volcano High, I’ve got Sea of Stars sitting there, and bought & downloaded Mount & Blade 2 yesterday.
So…uh…’everything’
Octopath Traveller II, I've finished 3 of the stories so far. Generally don't love the pixel style but it is growing on me.
Considering picking up Dead Space remake but I think it will go very cheap eventually so trying to hold out.
Mostly Monster Hunter World Iceborne still. Cumulatively I think I'm at 800-900hrs on this game. Plus a bit of Rise too, just want to be done with Iceborne first. Monster Hunter isn't for everyone they said...yeah right!
@Zuljaras
Nice Fable 2 is the best of the trilogy and my personal favourite
God of War Ragnarok, MGS2, Sonic Superstars and Star Ocean Second Story R PS5 wise.
Tunic, AC2, Dragons Dogma and possibly Death Stranding PS4 wise
Taking a brief hiatus from Baldurs Gate so as to avoid burnout! Currently midway through Act2, loving every second, but am wary of overplaying this game and don’t want to get BG fatigue.
Whilst I break from BG3, I’m playing ‘Humanity’ and ‘The Last Faith’. The former is a terrific little puzzler that is essentially a 3D version of Lemmings, whilst the latter is somewhat of a Blasphemous clone…
Both games are solid enough and should be short playthroughs, after which I’ll get back to Baldurs
Side note - last week I played and completed ‘Cocoon’, which was genuinely an amazing little puzzle game… a high recommend.
Avatar - Frontiers of Pandora - I’ve finished and platinumed the game. Such a rich and beautiful world, I’ll be returning to it now and then to just enjoy it. As for story, that was ok but nothing special. The platinum required the usual ubi collectibles but it wasnt too bad. All in all I really enjoyed the game 🙂
Elden Ring I’ve finally played it, got it for the son as a christmas present 😁 after two-three hours I concluded that while more to my liking than previous Souls-games its not for me. The kid loves it though, and I’ve watched him play a lot. He and some of his friends play and help each other and are having a blast so thats awesome. I can totally see the quality and greatness of the game, so well deserved top spots last year.
Final Fantasy XVI A game I’ve been looking forward to and damn, it starts off super strong. Such epic fights and some great cutscenes, good and engaging story so far and it looks really good. Cant wait to play more 😀
Final Fantasy 15
I’m 30 hours in and taking it slow. Doing all side quests and hunts so only on chapter 5 right now. Actually really enjoying it.
Took a break from Starfield after two faction quest lines and finally picked up Final Fantasy 16 again. Still love the story, but I find the gameplay largely uninteresting and I miss the more hardcore RPG elements of old. I pre-ordered the physical limited edition of Baldur's Gate 3 and can't wait to dive into a more deep RPG again.
PSVR2:GT7
Gaming time has been short due to my son being born #proud dad 😊
Been playing Dragon's Dogma again 🤌🤌 so good. Also having another dabble with the Dead Space remake on the harder modes.
I've been patiently waiting for an Avatar patch as I've found there are noticeable visual bugs in the plains area. Had been fine up to that point.
@R1spam The remake is a much better game for all its additions in my opinion especially the levels being connected and expanded.
@Mintie The shagging to death section was hilarious. If you broke into the House of Hope prepare for one of the best songs in the game coming up lol.
Bramble, after that I'm not sure. Some GT7, maybe a bit of Cyberpunk 2077.. life is good.
Will be playing Super Mario Bros. Wonder on Switch and Resident Evil Revelations on PS4. Enjoying both of these games a lot!
I’m chugging along still in Lacrimosa of Dana, itching closer to that Platinum. Apart from that, I’m aiming to get around to more of my lighter backlog in the form of 428 shibuya scramble and detective Stella porta case.
It's -30c where I live so I'll be gaming a lot this weekend.
PS5: Alan Wake 2
Switch OLED: Zelda TotK
Series X: Baldur's Gate 3
Recently finished:
1. Super Mario Wonder
Such a fantastic and fun game. Played it coop with the missus. Had a great time. Many of the levels had a "wow" factor I found entertaining.
2. Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty
Unlocked all the endings and I must say, what a great game and DLC it is. Played Cyberpunk at release and hated it (even though I reached one ending) but now, the 2.0 version is another game completely and the DLC adds so much too it. I highly recommend this game even though it is a bit depressing.
Have a good weekend everybody.
Nothing for me, got a bad viral chest infection which has knocked me off my feet. So, in bed binge watching final season of The Walking Dead, which will be me in a days time 😔😔
@Sanquine Congratulations! Being a dad is awesome (and tiring, lol).
I will be playing the awesome evil west.jesse rentier is a amazing protagonist.the graphics looks excellent.the gameplay and the boss fights is amazing.the story is good also.and im also playing the incredible days gone.deacon st john is a wonderful protagonist.im having a lots of fun.the graphics looks incredible.the boss fights is awesome.the story is wonderful.and the gameplay is amazing also.i will be watching my Pittsburgh Steelers 💛🖤 play.i will be watching my boston Celtics 💚🖤 play.i Will be watching legendary sitcoms tv 📺 comedy in Sanford and son.martin.good times. and saved by the bell.word up son
Lots of The Last Faith, along with Baldurs Gate 3 (finally making it to Act 2!) and Lords of the Fallen. I’m at a crossroads with the last one. Do I cleanse the world of evil or join it? Lol
I've grown too frustrated with the state of Overwatch so I'm trying to finish up FF7 Remake and the Intermission. Far more relaxing!
Guitar Hero 3, maybe a bit of Street Fighter 6, and a splash of Pokemon The Indigo Disk.
@TheArt once Monster Hunter sinks its claws in you there is no escape... Good time to get hooked on World as well with the whole 'Return to World' thing, I'd jump back on myself for a fresh start but I can't afford to black out for three months again.
Ongoing games are Resi 4 VR and FFX, when grabbbing half an hour on the Portal here or there I’m generally playing Nobody Saves the World or Delicious! Pretty Girls Mahjong Solitaire
Currently chasing the gas mask and the bear hat in Resi 4.
I'm thinking hard about giving Diablo 4 another try too.
Replaying Max Payne 3 on the 360. Only chucked it on to check if my 360 still worked and got hooked again
Getting my bottom handed to me by Lords of the Fallen (loving it though). Need to get Pieta’s move set down
Red Dead II for me. Because why not?
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty
After wrapping up my 2nd playthrough last weekend, I started up Phantom Liberty that same weekend and I've been loving it so far. Not that I didn't expect to anyways, but it's been great and I expect that to continue for the duration.
Sonic Forces for me. When I'm done with that, Team Sonic Racing it is. When I'm between gaming sessions, I've been leaving Sonic Speed Simulator on Roblox on autorun, so it grinds out candy canes for me.
I absolutely do not have a blue hedgehog problem. Honest!
(Send help)
A bit of Rockstar Ate My Hamster on the ROG Ally. I’m also trying to remember how to play Final Fantasy Remake/Intergrade so I can finally play the Yuffie DLC before Rebirth comes out.
A weekend of Star Wars for me (& FA Cup), Jed Survivor on PS5 and Galaxy's Edge on my favourite Xmas present PSVR2
@Gremio108 I think I’ll start that sometime this year. It’s been sitting in my backlog for a while. It’s just looks so overwhelming 😬
Starfield, Street Fighter 6 & Mario Wonder this weekend methinks. I gave up on Sonic Superstars, the bosses were just too annoying.
@MrGilly69 That’s awful about the PowerWash Simulator trophy glitch. Thankfully I had no issues with that. All that’s stopping my Platinum are the challenges. Just need gold on four more and I’ll have it. Need to look up which ones are the easiest because, following 64 blissful hours, I had such a nightmare with it, I had to just put it down.
I’ve been playing Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered over Christmas, but that’s on hold for a while. My eldest daughter, who’s 28, needed emergency surgery last night. Completely out the blue, they found a 13cm cyst on one of her ovaries, which was cutting off her blood supply. After a totally sleepless night, we’re off to the hospital to visit her now. Thank God she’s okay.
Just finished RE4R VR, what a blast. Now playing FF8 (for the 20th time - just to chill) and might look into Castlevania Advance as someone suggested on this post.
I'm giving Star Ocean 2 Remake and Octopath Traveler 2 (96hrs in) a break to start the GoWR Valhalla dlc. Less than a week till the GranBlue Fantasy Relink demo comes out so I doubt I'll finish it but oh well.
Happy gaming!
I'm in the final Act on Trails into Reverie. I've had a really great time with it! As an epilogue for the last 9 games in the series it's been so satisfying to see everyone together one last time before the new arc begins in the summer with Trails through Daybreak (Tied with Metaphor Refantazio as my most anticipated of the year).
Another great game under Falcom's belt. They honestly might even be giving Atlus a challenge for my favorite RPG developer. It seems they can literally do no wrong.
@Mintie Lol. Just love the hunting to craft nice gear, did that a lot in RDR2. Other games underestimate the fun in hunting and crafting. Plus of course it's not just that, love the whole design in general, the combat, there's so much depth.
Uncharted: Golden Abyss (Vita) - Chapter 6, I think? Playing in bursts here and there.
Real Soccer 2013 (Windows Phone) - Still trying to get used to soccer on a touch screen.
Angry Birds Rio (Windows Phone) - Going back to 3 star all the levels I can.
@Kyushutrail Haha, yeah it is a little, but you don't notice once you're in. Think of it as a holiday
For me, Sea of Stars on Steam Deck and Immortals of Aveum on Series X. Sorry, PlayStation you’re most likely going to be left out of the party until Rebirth.
I always try to find a lighter game to play during the first brutal post holiday week of January, and wouldn’t you know it, Santa brought me Dead Island 2 for Christmas. Dispatching zombies with electrified Wolverine claws is just what the doctor ordered for the post New Year blues.
Playing Tomb Raider Rise Of The Tomb Raider. Trying to beat the witch.
Lately, I’ve been in a gaming slump — nothing in the current zeitgeist has been holding my attention (and I’ve already played the majority of high quality releases from 2023). However; the big news for me this weekend is that I managed to snag a PlayStation Portal at my local GameStop! They had one left, which was very shocking. Online it said they had zero stock, but I called them and got a different response, so maybe that’s a good tip for those still trying to find one.
The PP is essentially going to be my RPG machine, especially while I watch the NBA and NFL. For me, it’s a niche product that is very suitable to my needs. As I stated earlier, I’ve been in a slump, with modern games not really keeping me entertained. Currently, I’m playing Mass Effect (The Legendary Edition) for the billionth time — this go around I’m doing an “Insanity” playthrough. It feels like a dream playing this franchise on a handheld device. And playing ME again reminds me how special this franchise is, and how even to this day there hasn’t been anything to replicate its space faring opera. Hopefully, I can obtain the platinum trophy.
Regarding my experience with the Portal — it has been fantastic. The device itself feels comfortable, and really durable. I have tested out a few games to see how it runs and I’ve had hardly zero issues, from Star Wars: Jedi Survivor to even Remnant 2. There are a few framerate dips here and there, but nothing too distracting. I did have one issue where my remote play kept on disconnecting, and the resolution dropped significantly. It turned out to be due to downloading and updating a game. Other than that, it performs better than expected.
Got Baldurs Gate 3 a few days ago so I’ll be playing that. Might bang out a few matches on PES2021 Master League. And play a few levels of Super Mario Wonder with my daughter.
Bloodborne DLC on ps5...I got stuck on Ludwig for the moment so trying to figure out how to beat that sucker so in between progressing through Chalice dangeons to level up a bit and gain some insight.
I'm also downloading Evil West which I want to try now when it's free via ps+. I should also get back to Separate Ways to finish RE4R pack and free some space on ps5.
From Monday back to work after 2,5 weeks off, really would like to prolong it by plus 1 week but it is as it is I'm afraid
Enjoy the weekend and happy gaming
Started chapter 5 of Dead Space remake. Either they added a ton of new content or it's been so so long since I last played the original cause I hardly recognize any of it lol
It's been fun tho. Still has a sense of dread and tension but I'm not too keen on the new dialogue. I feel it worked way better with the silence and minimal dialogue
@Cikajovazmaj bramble was decent.
So many games to finish…
-Elden Ring
-Armored Core VI
-Jedi Survivor
-Dead Space
-RE4
-And then there’s the Switch…
@BIG3 Thanks 😊 I already had a daughter so I know how wonderful it can be (but also sometimes hard)
Just finished up GOD OF WAR Ragnarok - Valhalla so now I’m starting on a game I’d been holding off on buying since it came out over a year ago that just happens to be ‘free’ this month: Evil West. I’m only one chapter in so far but I can at least say the game looks incredible. The graphics are pretty top notch. Will have to play it a bit more to form any opinion beyond that.
Final fantasy 7 Remake. Getting ready for Rebirth.
Rooting & tooting on the shoreline of annesburg. (Red Dead Redemption 2)
It’s backlog/trophy cleanup time before FFVII Rebirth! I’m going through Dead Space again to get that sweet platinum trophy. Have a great weekend, friends!
The Return To Lordran annual event kicked off yesterday in Dark Souls, so I’ll probably be on that for the next week or so.
Plague Tale Requiem with rats, slingshots and 2 brats who get in more trouble than a box of kittens. Also Nobody Saves the World starring Nobody.
Playing some Top Spin 3 on PS3, I long for a new GOOD Tennis game on PS5.
Beginning chapter 4 of Alan Wake, so far it's good but not amazingly good - fighting mechanic is repetitive and boring as much as first game and plot is just so so. Graphics and atmosphere are much better though.
Trying to platinum ff7 remake before yakuza comes out currently on hard mode chapter 14. Then just need to finish off the shinra combat then do the dlc
@Lizergamid are we playing the same game???
GT7 and iRacing
All about emulation on my new oled steamdeck at the minute. Downloaded a new batocera image full of switch, ps3, xbox etc and it's amazing. But also a bit of evil west on ps5...
Nobody Saves the World. It's actually a really good psn essential pick.
@Kraven
Same here. I’ve had mine a bit longer as I got it as a Christmas gift from the wife, and it’s been flawless. Really surprised as remote play on my iPhone is unplayable. Guess it’s all the background stuff.
I’m mainly playing FFX on it, along with Nobody Save the World. I was planning on only playing turn based games but really pleased it’s stable enough to play pretty much anything!
By the way, if you have g already, try PSVR2, VR is what got me out of a really bad gaming slump a few years ago.
@trymer89 it’s fantastic! I beat the main story a few weeks ago, but can’t put it down. Thankfully it’s got DLC! Just started that definitely recommend it so far
Just completed my two playthroughs of Lies of P. Now I’m just relaxing and starting Dragon Quest XI Definitive Edition. I was up to the frozen lady thingy on the original one years ago. Thought I’d start fresh and try to catch up!
In-between, I may either replay FF7R or LAD 7. Or, potentially finish Sekiro (I’m still on the Demon of Hatred). Orrrr, start Wo Long or Nioh Remastered
@Mostik nice! I love my vr2 admittedly don’t play it as much as I thought I would but still glad I have it especially for Horzion and Beat Saber. Still need to track down a physical copy of galaxy’s edge
@Northern_munkey I’m pretty close to finishing immortals and I’ve enjoyed it as well despite some weird difficulty spikes on normal mode. The puzzles kinda suck too imo
Playing The Crew Motorfest (now that Blizzard have totally ruined Overwatch with an insanely op pay-to-win character and freed me from my addiction).
I’m having fun but I’m not sure where I stand with the debate over whether it has real content or not yet.
@NoHope exactly! Why is that I wonder. I remember those good old days when we waited for the next iteration of tennis on ps2/ps3. They should bring that back on PS5! I imagine what it would be on a system with so much potential
@Doctor_BK Thanks buddy, Horizon is pretty special, looks stunning! If you are a Star Wars fan then Galaxy's Edge is great fun!
I finished Cyberpunk 2077 this week, 100% on both the main game and expansion. There's a slight sense of loss at the moment 😅
I tried playing Company of Heroes 3 Console Edition but I found the controls really frustrating. I may try it with a mouse and keyboard. However, my other problem with the game is the over world map thing they've got going on and the serious lack of good storytelling, unlike the previous games.
So, I've been trying Anno 1800 console edition, which is my first foray into the Anno series at all, but I've actually been really enjoying it.
I've been playing Final Fantasy VIII Remastered recently and really enjoying it and it's made me want to finish FFVII Remake. I got up to chapter 13 and just stopped playing for some reason back on PS4, so I've got the PS5 version installed and moved my save file ready for my days off
@AndyKazama it's queued up for me after Alan Wake 2. I'd play both but can't tear myself from Bright Falls
@Mostik definitely grabbing it at some point. Waiting for a physical copy price drop
Just finished Immortals of Aveum last night. I recommend it to anyone who is a fan of high fantasy, FPS, single player story driven games. Beat it on normal mode in 13 hours or so, and despite some difficulty spikes and weird puzzles it felt pretty fun to play most of the time. The gameplay feels like Doom or Wolfenstein way more than I expected. Was expecting more CoD vibes as the creative director came from making CoD games. The lore is deep as it is written by a Morrowind/Oblivion writer.
The rest of the weekend I’ll be switching between the absolutely gorgeous Burning Shores and ever-depressing world of Cyberpunk 2077 - about 13 hours into the main story here. Happy gaming!
I have been playing Nobody Saves the World in co-op with my son and enjoying it very much. I was surprised by the number of different forms you can play, each with their own abilities, and now feel compelled to unlock them all. Trying desperately to get the Magician to an A rank so we can unlock the Robot. Unfortunately this is another game where Player 2 does not get trophies and my son wanted to start it on his account, which is not ideal for our continuing competition. He was nice enough to offer to restart the game on my account, but I didn’t want to lose all of our progress, especially since I think there is a New Game + requirement for the plat. I wish developers would allow for the second player to get trophies as well. The same thing happened last weekend with our play through of Human Fall Flat.
@Doctor_BK @Doctor_BK I loved immortals of aveum. Great game. £14.99 in Smyth's at the moment. It's a steal at that price
Final Fantasy XIV, as always, and currently going for the platinum in Horizon Zero Dawn. I have the plat in HFW and now have to go back and add in HZD.
@rusty82 that is totally worth it
Alrighty first WAYP of the year and it feels nice hahaha. But as for my weekend of gaming honestly it’s kinda a quiet one I went hard on some Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising yesterday and I’m loving that game so much. Loads of fun. As for today tho I’m thinking of tackling some Persona 5 Tactica and getting that first boss finally defeated. Lovely game really it’s just so slow. And after that maybe some more Fate Samurai Remnant or even some Baldurs Gate 3? I dunno until new games come out or until I tackle FFXIV Endwalker (currently scheduled for FEB 11.) I feel I’m just gonna go on like a 3 or 4 game rotation on Switch and PS5. Those games being Dragon Quest Monsters The Dark Prince, Persona 5 Tactica, Star Ocean The Second Story R and Rain Code on Switch. And Fate Samurai/Remnant, Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, Baldurs Gate 3 and Assassins Creed Mirage on PS5. Oh and I wanna try out Dave The Diver on my day off this week so there’s that. Honestly this is that time of year where it really is just playing stuff you didn’t beat last year while waiting for the first big releases of this year. I even feel that way when it comes to the anime of the week this week. I finished some like 100 girlfriends that I really enjoyed but in terms of new stuff? Nothing is really out so far ima just shill for the continuing Mashle, Frieren and Shangri La Frontier. As for the podcasts of the week ya know it’s the usual: Castle Superbeast, Big Think Dimension, Minnmax, Into The Aether, Nextlander, RPGsites Tetracast, Windbreaker and Firelink from Second Wind and of course Remap Radio. Of course just because it’s a new year doesn’t mean we leave the homies behind ya know I gotta still give love to my friend over at twitch.tv/akibread. Otherwise yeah hopefully the rest of y’all are enjoying a nice relaxing January and let’s get hype for the big releases like Another Code, Tekken 8 and more. Have a good weekend yall and Happy Gaming.
@guardianoftime
maybe some day we will get something like a new TopSpin with all the great players, I would love that.
Original FFVII
I'm breaking out my finest PSTV-ware to play some Persona 3 Portable, and a bit of P4G as well to get me ready for Persona 3 Reload in a month or so!
@rusty82 I just finished Jusant today and loved it. Short, sweet and simple. Dontnod really knew what they wanted and made it.
@Puketapu it's decent just not grabbed me. I'll return to it in time I think. Looks stunning can't deny that like
Not dry January backlog January, finally started dead island 2 and had low expectations due to everyone saying how linear it was but I am actually enjoying it so far
