Looking for how to join PS Stars and wondering is it free? PS Stars is Sony's loyalty scheme, which enables you to complete Campaigns for Rewards, including PS Store credit and free games. On this page, as part of our PS Stars guide, we're going to answer how to join and is it free?

PS Stars: How to Join

There are two ways to join PS Stars. The first is to sign up on the official PlayStation website, using your PSN account login information. You can find the correct link through here.

Alternatively, you can join using the PS App on your smartphone. If you don't currently have the PS App, then you can download it using the App Store or Google Play store through the relevant links. Make sure you've updated to the latest version of the app to ensure you have full functionality.

Please note that PS Stars isn't currently available in every country or territory. It officially launched on the following dates in these three regions:

  • Japan and Asia: 29th September, 2022
  • North and South America: 5th October, 2022
  • Europe, Australia, and New Zealand: 13th October, 2022

PS Stars: Is It Free?

PS Stars is completely free to join, but do keep in mind you will need a PS5 or PS4 console in order to complete challenges, and you will need the PS App to interact with the loyalty scheme for now. While you won't need a PS Plus membership to participate, being an active subscriber will allow you to earn Points on each PS Store purchase you make.
