A brand new PS5 game from Sony's own China Hero Project has been revealed as AI Limit, a sort of mashup of NieR, Dark Souls, and anime-style visuals that launches later this year. You can catch the gameplay trailer above to see it in action, with developer SenseGames focusing on story and combat.
"After the sudden yet mysterious collapse of the artificial ecosystem, natural disasters and wars ensued, the civilization was wiped out," the Steam listing explains. "And in the centuries that followed, a strange substance known as the Mud spread everywhere, and monsters emerged. You will step into the last city of mankind — Havenswell, exploring cold and damp sewers, layers of slums, sky city above the lake, etc., seeking the truth about the destruction of civilization in monster-infested ruins."
The description goes on to reveal a number of systems relating to combat, from the Sync Rate that makes you "mightier in battle" to a mechanic tied to your left hand that deploys spells and assists. There might not be a Code Vein sequel coming, but fans now have this to look forward to.
The China Hero Project from Sony has already led to quite a few successful PS5, PS4 releases over the years, such as F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch and ANNO: Mutationem. The anticipated Lost Soul Aside has also been a result of the project, which has since expanded to India. Are you interested in AI Limit? Let us know in the comments below.

For seriously, tis Code Vein Part Duex
Looks cool!
Seems super slow, the characters look like they move in slow mo. Weird
It's always nice to see more Asian games come out of Sony.
ah yes China Hero Project, known to mostly show games that will never come out lol.
Whatever happen to Lost Soul Aside…. That game started development when I was 19…. I’m 28, about to be 29 now.
About time we got news about this game lol last time we heard anything about it was probably back in 2019 or 2020. The game looks very promising. Hoping this turns out to be atleast a decent souls-like (and hopefully not an unfairly frustrating one unlike say, Lords of the Fallen).
Wow the juxtaposition of Dark Souls and Nier is spot on. I dig.
It’s hard for me to enjoy other Soulslikes when I know they are sort of trying to be like the real deal. There’s something about this one though that intrigues me! To the list you go!
Gameplay looks.. ok, but it looks so uninteresting due to the boring level design. It's weird with these types of "souls" likes. It happened with Nioh, Wo Long, Code Vein, and now this game. Why cant you put in interesting level designs like Elden Ring and Dark Souls? Lol
The visual style is pretty cool. Very different from Automata, which isn’t good. Just different
If it’s not too punishingly difficult I could be interested
The game was originally already announced back in 2019.

Nice to see it still alive I guess.
I enjoyed code vein but I was not a huge fan of the graphics. This looks pretty similar so I'll hang on until it drops on my extra sub.
Will this be a free to play or a game where I can just play.
I like the look of this a lot. Thanks for the heads up.
Dear god, when will this incessant SoulsBourne copying end? It's getting laughable now.
What happened to developers thinking for themselves?
Why does every damn hack n slash game, have to be a Souls-like now...
I'm intrigued. I will watch a few play through when it comes out. If the levels look fun I'm in. I did enjoy Code vein, however like many of these souls likes the enemy types didnt change much. The levels did though which helped.
It is somewhat reminiscent of Code Vein, which I couldn’t quite get into. Nier Automata is one of my all-time favorites, and I really don’t think this looks like that, other than the protagonist looking vaguely like a bargain store version of 2B.
Describing it as Code Vein 2.0 would have saved you many words in the headline. and me saying that isn't a negative because I love code vein.
These game titles are getting more and more banal. I can just imagine some corporate non-gamer suit saying: “The consumer needs to know what it’s about” 🤦♂️
Looks good though
