Topic: Games you've recently beat

I just beat Uncharted: Drake's Fortune for the 1st time and I enjoyed it...I'm hoping UC2 and UC3 are a bit better as it has the ground for a fantastic series but didn't quite blow me away. Solid 8/10 though

Uncharted 2 is the best in the series, imo. Excellent game.

Completed Zool after 20 odd years. Cheated with save states but it was still nails.

Cannon Fodder is next on my hit list.

@mrobinson91: As a trophy hunter its harder to enjoy due to the 100 collectables. I was cursing Uncharted 2 - but during the last 3 levels / chapers / acts I've put youtube on hold and am enjoying the game alot more. I will collect what I see and go back through in level select after I've finished the game.

@Gamer83: I've heard good things about 2 so can't wait to get stuck in.

@themcnoisy: 60 seemed like a good amount in U1, so not sure why there is 100 in the next 2! I'll probably do the same as you though. Also...ZOOL! Haven't played/heard that since being about 5!!!!!

@mrobinson91: haven't beaten it but it won't be hard, Tales from borderlands, first few hours have been pretty boring for me unfortunately.

Platinums on Lego Marvel's Avengers and Dimensions.

Just beat Uncharted 2; definitely better than the first one, but I liked the first one too. I'm starting 3 tomorrow.

@Gamer83: What did you think of Gravity Rush?

Until Dawn! Really loved the game. I am surprised that I only had one of the main characters die in my playthrough. However, I felt like I had no way of preventing the death, which is kind of a shame in my opinion. I am planning on replaying the game for the plat though.

Beat Dishonored today, very good game, really liked the flexibility in how you could approach missions and the limited number of abilities to work with Duno if I'll play the dlc though, had just enough of the game by the end

Platted Lego Marvel 1. Great game, love the characters and Travellers Tales did a fantastic job of capturing the Marvel feel. I almost 1000gs it on x360, this time me and my son went all the way. Only took us 6 months.

Finished Uncharted 2, really good. The urban section and the amazing train sequence stood out for me (chapter 5 and 14 on memory) the gameplay still annoys the hell out if me, missed platforms, dodgy shooting (needs a slight assist for headshots) and bullet sponge enemies. But its loads better than the original.

Dragon Quest V (Android).

As always when it comes to the series, I love the vibrant color scheme & Akira Toriyama's character design (though because of this, I tend to name every nameable character after DBZ characters, lol).

I loved the unique hook of this one, which sees your character grow up throughout the adventure (starting out as a kid traveling with your dad, and ending up as an adult yourself, travelling with your wife & kids). The monster recruiting mechanic was pretty useful, and I loved the boardgame like "Treasure n' Trapdoors" mini-game (I haven't been this captivated by a side distraction since the fishing & roll-goal minigames in Zelda: Twilight Princess). Oh, I also liked finding treasures to fill out that museum too, as that was pretty cool.

It is old school through & through in terms of gameplay, featuring random encounters & basic turn based battles, and while it can drag on when you need to grind, sometimes it's nice to get back to something simpler.

@themcnoisy: I've just finished Uncharted 2 as well and thought it was fantastic. The train sequence was great and overall look and feel of the game is brilliant. I do agree though about sometimes the platforming or shooting feels a bit off. The ending dialouge between Elena and Nate seemed like a perfect ending!

@mrobinson91: Nice, I'm in no rush for uncharted 3 though, I may finally install the tomb raider ps4 reboot I've had since Xmas.

Tales from Borderlands, a real tough one. Gets much better towards the end of the first episode.

Finished Dishonred a few days ago because I recently got a ps3 and wow I wish I got a ps3 sooner it was awesome i finished it without killing the targets my next game is prob going to be me1 because I just brought the mass effect trilogy

Dying Light: The Following.
I've spent 29 hours with this lovely DLC before killing the lovely Mother and I still have many hives to clean and many races to win.

Just finished the vanilla Dying Light game on Nightmare, about halfway through The Following. Damn it's difficult!

Finished Uncharted 3 a few days ago, so that's the Nathan Drake Collection done and dusted.

I actually think 3 is just as good as 2, it's got some amazing set pieces, and I really liked the back story behind Drake and Sully's relationship. I think 2 edges it ever so slightly, but 3 is not nearly as bad as people make it out to be.

So excited for A Thief's End!
