Square Enix is predicting a 100-hour playthrough if you want to finish off everything Final Fantasy VII Rebirth offers, and its Trophy list now backs that up. You will need to unlock 60 Trophies to have the Platinum next to its name on your PS5 Profile, which is roughly about 10 more than a standard title of this size. A playthrough on the hard difficulty setting is a requirement once again, and you'll need to grind your way to level 70.
Of course, there are Bronze Trophies tied to story progression, with the Trophy list (viewable in full on Powerpyx) stating there are 14 chapters in total. That's actually four fewer compared to Final Fantasy VII Remake, but we already know Rebirth is a significantly bigger and more open RPG. You'll also need to finish every quest in the game, but your reward is just a Bronze Trophy.
There are then some situational Trophies like recruiting all the Midgar 7th Infantry units for the parade in Junon, earning a prize for an outstanding performance in the Junon Parade, and winning the Queen's Blood tournament. Collectibles also appear to be a thing in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth; they seem to take the form of world intel and protorelics. Donating items to the treasure trove managed by Johnny will eventually net you a Gold Trophy.
Again, you can see the complete Trophy list on Powerpyx, and begin working out how you'll unlock the Platinum Trophy now. Of course, we'll have a Trophy guide ready for release also. Will you be gunning for 100%, or do you not care? Let us know in the comments below.

That sounds about right tbh. Rebirth sounds huge and the Remake plat took me far longer than the guide suggested (60 b ***ked!). Can’t wait though… I’ll have time booked out ready for sure!
Everything about this game is sounding colossal, from the playtime, the amount of trophies, the storage space required and of course the game itself in terms of things to do. Hopefully it can get a huge metacritic rating as well 😜.
Platted the first one, will plat this one.
Challenge accepted
100% on Remake and will be the same here. I will relish every minute
Hard mode was a fun challenge in the first part. Can't wait to do the same with Rebirth.
Platinum trophy! Here I come!
This is Gona be epic and nonsense free!
This game has the potential of being goty with how it is looking and sounding
Doubt I'll bother, as I'm not a fan of having to replay on higher difficulties but may end up chipping away over time. I might actually go for the past on the original FFVII some time this year
To be honest, I hated hard mode in Remake. The combat already felt like a slog, like all the enemies were made out of concrete and the Buster Sword was made out of bread. To make that even worse, then to severely limit your healing, all while traipsing down the same crushingly repetive and dull metal corridors and dusty alleyways you'd just been funneled through for about 60 hours... Well, I was ready for Meteor to crash down from above and put me out of my misery. I enjoyed the first playthrough, with some parts being exceptions, but that was down to the atmosphere, characters, the dreamlike thing of seeing the game in modern graphics, and so on.
So yeah, I won't be bothering with these trophies. I just hope the game doesn't have that damage sponge kind of combat as much as Remake did. Everything about Rebirth looks amazing beyond belief but that's the one thing that could let it down for me.
@carlos82 The ff7R hard mode and normal mode are almost two completely different games. You can play like an action game in normal mode. However, the hard mode is way more strategic, and the core of the combat system is more turn-based. I spent double amount of time to finish the hard mode and think it is worth the efforts and think the combat system is one of the best ever made.
Replay trophies on harder difficulties are largely a no go for me. A 60 hour RPG is already a big lift for me, so doing it twice with more frustration is a firm no.
I've got some Platinums for replays in other games, but they have to be titles you can really plow through. Anything that's going to be a long grind is just a waste of time to me.
Every quest for a bronze is just lame. At least make it a silver
But I love that we have to do a Hard playthrough. FF7R’s combat shined in Hard Mode. Can’t wait to play this bad boy twice 😎😎😎
@Nowings couldn’t agree more. Hard Mode upped the ante and delivered. I bet this time around it’ll be even better with all the new materia, attacks, playable characters and features. Cannot wait for this!
@RudeAnimat0r You do not have to grind in FF7R. You get triple exp after the first playthrough. You just need to do some collections to be prepared for the Hard Mode. You do not need to go through all quests and do collections again. All enemies and bosses will be different in hard mode. Most of time spent in hard mode is to budget your resources and design the strategies for each boss.
I'm good on Normal difficulty. Whenever I get a chance to play it, still need to play the first one. I put it on the back burner since I played FF7 when it was first released in Japanese on PS1. Using a translation guide I had to print out. The good old days
100? Sign me up. Didn't have a problem getting the plat on remake and I'm sure I won't have an issue playing this for 100hrs to get this one.
Zero desire to play through on hard but I'll try to 100% the game in all other aspects. Very excited for this one!
Very similar to the Remake trophies. I’ll be going for it.
I personally loved hard mode during the battles. It was a different game. On normal I just button mashed my way through most of it. On hard I had to relearn the game and think strategically.
Some of the bosses were Dark Souls like in their difficulty - you had to time everything right otherwise you’d be toast.
Can't wait to play this wonderful game twice just like the first part. Hard mode was a fantastic addition, sure I'll love every second.
Hardest trophy was squats. I hope to never see something like that again.
Hard mode should be unlocked from the start. Said the same for Remake.
@Torque I was reading this article thinking to myself that I need to do the platinum and then I read your comment and went Defcon 5 “nope”
@MegaManX-7 Should do it like Uncharted 4. Crushing difficulty was greyed out, but if you still tried to select it, it would prompt asking if you're sure about starting on that difficulty and then be enabled if you confirm. Best mistake ever.
Nope. Plat hidden behind hardest difficulty. SE could learn a thing or two from Naughty Dog (TLOU 1+2) and others in that respect. Plat trophy regards of difficulty gets MORE people playing the game and is inclusive regards of ‘git gud’ skill levels.
I know others will disagree though just because.
This is going to surpass the original FFVII. I loved part 1.
I went for the Platinum on Remake, but gave up when I realised the nightmare of the “dress” stuff, and then thinking about redoing some of the poorer sections again. I’ll probably skip the Platinum run on this version too. Really looking forward to it.
That seems like a fair good amount of trophies.
Cannot wait for Rebirth, got the deluxe edition on pre order.
Probably will have to clear up space when it’s out though since it’s about 150gb
Doubt it will be too challenging.
Chapter 14 trophy sounds interesting......
@Matroska agreed with you.
Sounds like a lot of stuff I'm definitely not gonna do. Lol
I always set out to get the Platinum, but usually give up hope around the 30 hour mark.
Crisis Core was going so well until I missed the barrels at the waterfall and somehow missed unlocking some of the missions… then all hope was lost.
I don't care much about trophies. I play these kinda games for the story and, of course: for fun.
I cannot say I enjoyed the hard play through of part one. Since that time my desire to spend extra time doing difficult/time consuming trophies is basically dead. I will be content to enjoy my normal playthrough.
I don't get this play twice on a huge RPG it's just draining. If hard mode was unlocked from the start sure I can get that for the challenge but when they make is play it twice its just dumb.
FF7 Remake's trophy list was fun and nothing crazy. Basically a list to see all the content the game had to offer.
Hard mode was a blast and was designed with a level of thoughtfulness to it that surprised me. Very much looking forward to 100% completing FF7 Rebirth too.
I'm just happy I don't have to date Barrett again.
@Torque That was the trophy that netted me the Platinum. Had to step away a few times so my Dual Sense didn’t end up getting tossed out of a window.
@CooCooKaChoo All that for that championship belt and that last pop. I'm guessing somewhere in my plat screenshots is a similar shot to yours. @BusyOlf Don't give up hope. It's possible.
