It's February now, and we are officially in sight of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the jaw-dropping sequel to Square Enix's 2020 Remake, out on the auspicious date of 29th February. The wait has been a long one, but if the 145GB of PS5 real estate director Tetsuya Nomura is demanding of players is anything to go by, Cloud and company's next adventure is going to be a true epic.
That's according to trusted PSN trawler PlayStation Game Size, which reveals the scale of the beast, giving us all plenty of time to finish up lingering replays or distractions and properly prepare our hard drives. Tough decisions may be necessary, and if you never got around to Intergrade, well, now's the time.
In other Rebirth news, another State of Play showcase was announced for next week, dedicated entirely to the game. Producer Yoshinori Kitase, along with Nomura, recently sat down with the PlayStation Blog to discuss the process of reimagining characters like Aerith and Sephiroth due to the zoomed-in nature of Rebirht's scope.
