Juggernaut MMO Final Fantasy XIV's upcoming Dawntrail expansion introduces the Pictomancer Job class, inspired by the artistic magic of Relm Arrowny of Final Fantasy VI fame. The Pictomancer is a ranged DPS class that uses a magical paintbrush and pallet to bring their artistic creations to bear on the battlefield, with colourful and effective results.
Announced at Tokyo's annual Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival, the Pictomancer will be introduced in Dawntrail alongside the Zidane-like Viper Job class. The expansion did not get a firm release date and is currently expected in "Summer 2024". Dawntrail will raise the level cap from 90 to 100 and allow Square Enix to implement a significant graphical overhaul, sprucing up the now-venerable game, which launched (in its Reborn state) back in 2013 and remains extremely popular today.
