Rhythm games and virtual reality go hand-in-hand — there's a reason there are so many great examples. Beat the Beats looks to be next to join the ranks in 2024.
This game combines rhythm action with boxing, and looks like it plays very similarly to Beat Saber — just with punches rather than sword swipes. The game has you performing various boxing manoeuvres, such as jabs, hooks, uppercuts, rolls, and blocks as you aim to strike the icons in time with the music. You can see how it works in the brief trailer above.
Beat the Beats will offer global leaderboards and daily challenges to keep you playing, and we've no doubt it'll be a decent workout too. It's heading to PSVR2 later this year. What do you think of this one? Roll with the punches in the comments section below.

Looks good. Hopefully the music selection is good too.
Count me interested. Now just wait for the soundtrack to be revealed.
Anything PSVR2 related is on my radar immediately and this looks good.
Has anyone else ever had a response from Sony regarding buying/getting replacement Dual Sense VR controllers? I've emailed several times.
Another added to the wishlist! I think I now have all the boxing games that have been released on psvr2 though I'm craving for something more fun.
I was never a fan of rhythm games on flat, but VR just makes them awesome. I had a lot of fun with Drums Rock, and now I'm massively enjoying Pistol Whip. Beat Saber and Synth Riders are next.
To be fair, VR makes pretty much everything awesome. I hadn't played a Resident Evil game since the original RE2, but VR brought me back to the franchise with Village. And man, what a blast! RE4 Remake will be amazing when I get to it. Just need a little recovery time lol.
@__jamiie no but I am wanting to know this also...what happens after the warranty runs out? Do you have to buy a whole new headset bundle? Surely Trading Standards have something about this but I haven't ever found anything?? It really needs sorting out...love my PS5 and PSVR2 but can't stand Sony at the moment!!
@EnragedGibbon I agree. What happens if my drunken friend breaks one of my controllers?
Looks like a lot of fun and a buy for me
