If you loved acclaimed side-scrolling indie Celeste, then you may be eager to celebrate its sixth anniversary with this free 3D spin-off. Inspired by the Nintendo 64 and PS1 collectathon platformers of old, Celeste 64: Fragments of the Mountain is a free, 30-minute romp you can download from itch.io right now.
The team says the title was built in a “week(ish)”, which is impressive despite its diminutive running time. While it’s naturally not available on PS5 or PS4, early reports suggest this runs outstandingly well on the Steam Deck, so if you’re lucky enough to own one of Valve’s high-performance handhelds, then that might be the best place to play this.

To bad ill miss it with it not being on Playstation. Loved the main game.
Rockstar would sell this for 49.99€ and then release it for the next two console generations
Celeste is a work of art, and I appreciate this being posted here even without it being on PlayStation. I'll definitely check this out.
I may have to check this out sooner or later
Saw a video of a guy who maid some celeste leves in 3D with their blessing so I guess the result was good enough for the devs to make their own.
I absolutely love Celeste, so i definitely want to give this a download and play.
Heck, I may even toss it on my Steam Deck as well.
Be interested to see how this plays — I imagine the pixel perfect precision required to play a game like Celeste goes right out the window when you migrate it to N64-era 3D
Neat. I assume there's no way to run it on android though. All my laptops are super weak, and non-windows.
